The State of Illinois has had mandatory car insurance laws since the year 1990. Recently the State of IL has implemented HB2610 (IL house Bill 2610) which allows the IL Secretary of State or the Department of Motor Vehicles (IL SOS IL DMV) to verify the vehicle’s owner’s insurance information.
If you received a letter from the IL Secretary of State that says: ACTION REQUIRED: REQUEST FOR INSURANCE VERIFICATION it is because the electronic insurance verification system has failed to verify your vehicles car insurance.
This letter requires the vehicles owner to provide proof of liability insurance within 30 days through their insurance company/agency. Insurance King can help with this process. All Insurance King agents are setup with the IL Secretary of State to process this request. Call an Insurance King agent at 888-839-1365.
If you were uninsured on the date the insurance coverage is requested. Call an Insurance King agent at 888-839-1365 for a FREE QUOTE. Just give the IL Secretary of State Reference Number on your insurance verification request letter so the Agent can verify your vehicles Identification number (VIN) and license plate information.
1) Issue a policy with lowest rates possible
2) Complete the insurance verification coverage request coverage electronically
3) Process the $100 reinstatement fee payment to remove the suspension from the vehicle(s)
